This online course is a fun and manageable way of learning about jazz music by studying it's history and evolution. Interesting reading materials are easily accessed, as are audio and video files of great jazz recordings and performances, from it's inception in the 1920's to today's giants of modern jazz.

Encourage your friends and fellow students to take the class too, as many students have told me it's fun to go through the materials together. It is a lot of great music and You Tube selections of some of the greatest music ever created.

Check your Canvas e-mail frequently as I often send e-mails to the whole class with additional study tips, explanations, clarifications, and You Tube clips to further explain the concepts we study.
